- GImageX v2.0.14 released (3rd
October, 2008). Added the ability to create and change the
DisplayName and DisplayDescription XML tags in a WIM file. These
properties are used during Windows Vista SP1 and Windows 2008
setup. Without the ability to set these properties it is
difficult to differentiate between images in Windows Setup.
- GImageX v2.0.13 released (4th
July, 2008). Fixed problem with captures not creating the
<WINDOWS> XML data.
Introduction

GImageX is a graphical user interface for the ImageX tool from the
Windows Automated Installation Kit
v1.1 (WAIK).
ImageX is used to capture and apply WIM images for Windows XP and Windows Vista
desktop deployments. It uses the Microsoft WIMGAPI API for working with WIM
files.
The ImageX GUI is a native application for the x86
and x64 platforms that will also work in Windows PE (WinPE). There is also
a COM component version included that implements some of the basic functionality
for direct use in languages such as VBScript.
